Our precise scanning (digitizing) process captures a physical object's high-density geometry, compound surface curvature, and draft features which are extremely difficult to do using traditional measuring techniques.
We use tools and techniques ranging from laser and structured light scanning machines, photogrammetry, custom software and custom hardware to collect hundreds of thousands of points that are used to create point cloud files. The point cloud data is then interpolated to generate highly accurate 3D CAD models of the physical object for a variety of applications including: reverse engineering, rapid prototyping, product inspection, etc.
Our 3D digitizing/laser scanning services are unmatchede due to our teams considerable expertise and knowledge. By using a combination the tools and techniques listed above along with traditional measuring tools we are able to deliver models with accuracy as close as 50 microns (0.0019")* and we can digitize anything from jewelry to jets.
The resulting data from these scanning techniques is usually a mesh (STL file), NURBS surfaces or 3D CAD model. Depending on the customer's need these CAD models can be either static or parametric. Once we have reviewed and determined the customer's needs and requirments we will recommend suitable processes to deliver the highest quality data conversion accuracy.
